No simple setting to disable 'check-update' function (need MSCONFIG), so I'd rather uninstall it.
What happens next is: Memo Backup later alerts that some component/module is missed and would reinstall. Unfortunately, Control-Panel's "Programs and Features" has only one choice -- so I go 'uninstall' }:|
