Error pairing mobile-phone

Always get error when pair Nokia mobile-phone (my current model = 6710-Navigator), system automatically installs most items but "Bluetooth Peripheral Device".

It has been this error since my previous home system (Windows Vista Home Premium) and then after factory restoration, and now with office PC (Windows 7/Pro/64) :'|

1. MENU button)  Select Recording tab: "Scene Select".
2. Select a scene.  Press ENT.
3. Control button)  Select "Edit".  Then set options as shown in table here.
4. When done, back to select "Save Scene Setting", press ENT.

• 'My scene' is tentatively modified for stand-by (careful & long) listening.

Also determine Easy-Search mode
When “Easy Search” is set to “ON”:-

• We can quickly locate the point at which we wish to start playback by pressing forward/backward on the control button repeatedly during playback.  This function is useful for locating a desired point in a long recording.
• We cannot locate next/previous file or track mark while playing: i.e., to stop first (press ENT or STOP).

- Click >>|	Go to next file or track mark.	Forward ~10 secs.
- Press-hold >>|	Fast forward.	(same)

Cannot enable WLAN!?

PC: Acer Aspire 4920G

Problem: Cannot press WLAN button (on left panel of keyboard) to enable wireless-LAN card.  Machine's message says "eanabled" and "disabled" while toggling the button, but it's not really enabled.

Cause: Wireless network has been turned off in "Windows Mobility Center" previously.

Transfer contacts from Nokia to iPhone

Googling and found 2 methods: Outlook Express, Yahoo.

So I first synchronized N73 >> Outlook Express >> iTunes.  Then switch within iTunes from Outlook Express to Yahoo because I used to copied contacts from Outlook to Yahoo in the past: i.e., to consolidate all to Yahoo.

However, just noticed later not all contacts in Yahoo were not synchronized to iTunes!  Spending time last evening

• Mostly because defective contacts (Yahoo) had too few information.  I tried to assumed that at least there must be [1] first & [2] last names, and [3] phone# of mobile type (many of them were type “Other”).  But however it was no longer true when I fixed records until ‘K’.
• Until it became failed (no more synchronizing) around ‘K’ and I repeated a few more times, iTunes prompted (due to >25% changing) that there were additional ~300 contacts to be added.  I was no hesitate to accept }:)

 

Still questioning

Had Yahoo data been synchronized properly with Outlook Express when I switched iTunes from Outlook Express to Yahoo?

1. There is no 2nd work/home telephone fields.
   
2. Cannot handle Thai message: job title, note.  Thai characters are kept in Ovi.  But they becomes "???" in Outlook when synchronised (through PC Suite 7.1.26).
3. Note's text can be truncated to only first line.
4. 'Work mobile' in Ovi can become 'Car telephone' in Outlook.
   

So, by this time, do NOT synchronise Ovi back to phone yet.  Keeping for data backup would be OK.

Shortcut 1	Clock	Calculator	Old unit's command was Menu-4 but this one is deeper: Menu-#(Applications)-2(Clock).  However, new clock can have several alarms so that it needn't be set daily.
Shortcut 2	Profiles	Active notes	Profile selection is available when press Off button.
Shortcut 3	Camera	Gallery	Camera: just press-hold shutter button already handy. Gallery: Now it is deeper than Menu-5 and there's no media button in this model.  Also, it is preferred than just Music player only.
Shortcut 4	Maps	QuickOffice	Map button already exists.  Quickoffice now can substitute File Manager.
Shortcut 5	Messaging	Bluetooth	Messaging: Being in 1st-level menu is sufficient.
Shortcut 6	Music player	Connection manager	Connection manager is necessary to review and sometime to force disconnecting.  Its original location is deep.

Other candidates for shortcut keys

• File manager: try using Quickoffice instead.
  
• Dictionary, Converter: not use much so far.
• Internet -- Opera or Google: too risky to online-connecting by accident.
